Our Story
I (Bruce) was a young Montana kid roaming the backwoods of the Big Sky state. I had always thought shed antlers were cool, but it wasn’t until I found one in 2019 that my curiosity grew into a lifestyle. I was hooked! I began religiously hunting for sheds, increasing my knowledge of the sport, and spending as many spring weekends as I could out in the woods.
Challenges
Since I was regularly collecting antlers and bringing them home, the tops of our cabinets and bookshelves were starting to be overcrowded with my finds. Every flat surface in our home was being overrun with tines of all sizes. We were running out of horizontal display room, but then realized we had plenty of wall space. If only there was a way to hang an antler on the wall to show it off! But nothing we found online seemed like a good solution.
Shed Straps LLC is Born
In 2020, my wife and I took matters into our own hands and spent several days drawing product blueprints on our back glass door with a dry erase marker. The Shed Straps basic and premium products were brought to life later that year!
Rebranding to Epoch Outdoors
Recently in early 2024, Shed Straps was rebranded to Epoch Outdoors to better accommodate our vision for a wider set of products and to promote a broader mission.

Accompanying our growing business is a website complete with product tutorials, a Youtube page showcasing my adventures outdoors, and an Instagram page highlighting what we (and our customers) love so much about our products! Just this year, we added our Bear Blitz Bear Spray Holster to our product selection and we plan to add more over the next several years!
